Archers4Tobi
Hi, my name is Noah Cagle. I started shooting recurve archery 4 years ago and haven't put it down since. I am currently a freshman at Mount Marty University and am a member of their archery team. My ultimate goal is to represent Team USA on a world stage. I wanted to join Archers4Tobi to help people and their families who are going through one of the toughest things in life and make it a little easier. In 2014, my grandmother was diagnosed with Melanoma (skin cancer). Ever since, I have seen her push through some of the most difficult adversities that I can imagine. Seeing her overcome those obstacles has helped encourage me to not only push through my own challenges in life but also help people achieve their goals.
I am Layel, a 23-year-old Iowan Olympic Recurve Archer. I have been shooting for almost three years. When my Aunt lost her battle with breast cancer it hit my family and I hard. Coupled with life I thought any ability to dream was lost...but then archery.
Archery started as a way to spend time with my sister, but quickly turned into a personal passion and a way to relieve the stress of everyday life. Since I began shooting, God has continued to open doors and place the perfect people through the archery community into my life to speak into my life and encourage me. Archery has taught me how to ground myself, to trust myself, to believe in the process, to dream big and to work hard. As I continue to shoot I look forward to the 2024 Olympics as my goal in my archery career.
Shooting for Archers4Tobi means so much to me as it reminds me of my Aunt and her strength and how much she has impacted my life, even in archery. Archers4Tobi gives me the chance to impact the family's of those with loved ones battling cancer.
Hi I’m Adrianna Hoang. I am going to be a freshman at the University of Oklahoma this fall. I started shooting recurve six years ago and have not looked back since now it is the biggest part of my life and I like to help raise awareness in anyway possible even through shooting. I wanted to join Archers4tobi to help the families through one of the toughest things that they will go through. I’ve had friends and family battle cancer and have had family members lose their battle to cancer. Now I can use archery to help families going through these hard times watching their loved ones fight this illness. I am so glad that I can now use something I love so much, archery, to help families going through these hard times
Hi! My name is Julie Williams and I am 16 years old! I am homeschooled by my lovely mother and am a sophomore in highschool! The first time I ever shot was at my church camp a little over 6 years ago, but after that I forgot how much I loved it. Then about a year after my mom took my sister and I to a small archery class at our local range! We absolutely loved it and the rest is history!! I now shoot Olympic recurve on the Oklahoma Storm archery team! This organization really spoke to me because I have had many people in my family and even one of my teammates. This organization really Spoke to me because it combines two of the things I'm most passionate about, archery and helping people!!
Hi, I am Alison Appleby. I am a sophomore at Texas Tech High School. I started shooting through NASP when I was 10 years old and switched to Olympic Recurve two years ago. Archery was a great outlet for me when my Mom got diagnosed with cancer and when my Aunt Sue lost her battle with cancer. Today, I am showing my support of Aunt Kathy as she continues to fight her battle with breast cancer. I look forward to helping others be strong as they and their families fight for health and healing.
Hi, I’m Nidhi Kanchumarthi! I am a senior at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA. I have been shooting archery for 6 years, first being introduced to the sport from a Groupon! I am currently on the Recurve Junior Dream Team and have been competing in the USAT circuit for four years. I will be continuing my archery career in college at Barnard College of Columbia University, competing for Columbia University’s Division 1 archery team.
Cancer is one of the modern world’s scariest medical diagnoses, and can be hard on the people and families it affects. I am excited to be a part of an organization that combines my favorite sport with supporting and helping others!
Hello, my is Kaylee Gurney! I’m 13 years old and have been shooting archery for seven years. Archery is my passion whether it’s practice or competing, I LOVE IT! I’m currently trying to make the United States Archery Team! I also have a dream of attending Texas A&M and becoming and firefighter. I’m glad to be in Archers4tobi to help spread the word and give people hope that they are not fighting this battle alone! In 2006 a year before I was born I lost my grandma, even though I never met her I know she’s watching over me! Cancer is apart of my family’s story like it or not. It time together we prove we are bigger than cancer!
Hi! My name is Patrick Fisk, from Queen Creek, AZ. I’m a father to three teenage girls, a husband to a wonderful wife, and an Archer. I’ve had a love for archery since I was a teenager at Scout Camp! I have owned a bow for 30 years. In my younger years it was just backyard fun and I ran the archery range at Scout Camp for a few summers. A few years ago my oldest Daughter and I did an “intro to archery lesson” as a “Daddy Daughter Date” and for me it rekindled a love and sparked a fire with my oldest daughter Peityn. We found American Archery Academy and were on our way too engaging in the archery community and competing. There is no looking back now as we now have five archers in our house all at different levels. I’m also a certified Archery Judge and a volunteer at our local JOAD club. I lost my father-in-law to cancer 3 years ago and recently my father has been diagnosed with cancer. I’m privileged to be a part of an organization that combines archery with helping the quality of life in cancer patients and their families
Hi, my name is Peityn Fisk! I am 17 years old, and am a senior in high school. I have been shooting archery for 3 years and have absolutely fallen in love with the sport. Archery has been an amazing way for my dad and I to bond as we shoot together every weekend! He is my biggest supporter and greatest cheerleader! Cancer has taken a great tole on my family as my grandpa passed away from it and my other grandpa was recently diagnosed. I’m so excited to help others through their journeys of archery and cancer, we are all capable of great things!
We are looking for new archers to carry our vision through to the next generation and beyond. We would love to hear from you!
